Last Day of Voters Registration: October 31, 2012

On October 31, 2012 is the last day of voters registration.

REQUIREMENTS:

I. If you belong to the following type of applicants:

1) New Registration 
 - This are those who has never filed an application for registration in Comelec.
    a) At least eighteen (18) years of age
    b) Filipino citizen
    c) A resident in the place wherein he proposes to vote for at least six (6) months immediately preceding the election
    d) Not otherwise disqualified by law.

2) Transfer from another district, city or municipality
- This is for those registered voters who has transferred residence from another district, city or municipality.

3) Transfer within the same district, city or municipality due to change of address
- This is for those registered voters who change their address but is within the same city or district.

4) Change of name
- This is for those registered voters who got married and change surname, or for those who has some changes in their names.

5) Correction of entries
- This is for those registered voters who got wrong input in the entries, like birth input, name or some other cases.

6) Inclusion in the Book of Voters
- This is for those registered voters whose name is not included in the Precinct Book of Voters.

7) Reinstatement to the Voters List
- This is for those registered voters whose name is not included in the Precinct Certified List of Voters.

8) Reactivation
- This is for those registered voter whose registration record has been deactivated based on grounds provided under Section 27 of Republic Act No. 8189. The most common reason for the deactivation of a registration record is the failure of a registered voter to vote in two (2) consecutive regular elections, such as in both the 10 May 2010 National and Local Elections and the 25 October 2010 Barangay Elections.

II.  Bring any valid ID and go to local COMELEC.

III. Follow the COMELEC personnel instruction and Done!

Jessica Sanchez will sing the American national anthem in Pacquiao-Bradley fight

This coming June 9, 2012 (June 10 in Philippines) the much awaited fight between Manny Pacquiao and Timothy Bradley will happen in Las Vegas. Pacquiao (54-3-2, 38 KOs) and Bradley (28-0, 12 KOs) are both boxing superstars in their own right. Bradley, the undefeated American World Boxing Organization (WBO) junior welterweight champion, will be challenging Pacquiao, an eight-division world champion. And during the fight the famous singer Jessica Sanchez, who is the first runner up in American Idol this season will be singing the United States National anthem. I know everyone is excited for this day, especially the Filipinos, expect a lesser crime, lesser traffic during this day.  We expect an exciting fight and Manny we hope you to win again!  Good luck pacman!

Super Big Crocodile in the Philippines

This is the image of the giant crocodile that was captured last Saturday in Bunawan township, Agusan del Sur Province. It was estimated to be 21-foot (6.4-meter) long and 2,370 pounds (1,075 kilograms). The crocodile killed a water buffalo last month and was suspected of having attacked a fisherman who were missing last July. It was captured by the villagers by setting a trap and about 100 people had to pull the crocodile from the creek to the clearing where it is lifted by a truck. It will be place into an ecotourism park in the southern Philippine town.
