Temporary Restraining Order(TRO) for Cybercrime Law

Good news for netizens the Supreme Court orders a TRO for Cybercrime Law dated October 9, 2012.  This means that the law will be on hold and the Supreme Court will still review it's details. The Cybercrime Prevention Act of 2012 is one of the hot topic in the internet these days. It has criticisms and 15 groups have already filed a petitions for the revision of the law.  Most netizens are concerned on the inclusion of libel case in the internet.  People are scared that it would create E-Martial Law to the online community.  The said libel case was included by senator Sotto and it was signed by president Aquino last September 12. Good news temporarily but we will all be waiting for the final decision of the law.

KZ Tandingan - X Factor Philippines winner!

KZ Tandingan won in the first time X-Factor Philippines held in Pagcor Grand Theater in ParaƱaque City. She got the highest vote from the three grand finalist. KZ(55.45%), Gabriel Maturan(32.33) and Daddy's Home(12.90).  KZ's grand finals night piece was "Superstar" from the Carpenters. Since from audition time I always watched this show which is hosted by KC Conception.  And seeing KZ audition and hearing her singing makes me one of her fans.  From that day I know she will make it to the top and like her to be the winner. KZ's line "Pumunta ako dito para ipakita na hindi lamang sa mga magaganda at biritira and Philippine music industry" makes her more famous.  It inspires people that you can make it to the top with your talent even if you're not that mestiza or you can sing the highest note in the piano. What marks KZ's performance is her confidence in singing and her style.  I think it's my first time to hear this kind of singing i

Feel like a virgin again

I find this video funny.  It is about a new found cream for women vagina to make it look like from that of an 18 year old woman. This cream is developed by Ultratech India.  And this cream will make you "feel like a virgin again".  Sounds like a very good idea and hope their product will really work .  I know many women in the world would love to try this one.

How to Battle flooding

It's rainy season again in the Philippines and recently we have seen the flooding in some areas in the country.  Some were knee deep and others were above their rooftops.  We may blame this on climate change and human activities.  But I think each of us has a role and share to make to stop or if not atleast minimize the flood. Here are some of the ways we can do: 1) Plant more trees and avoid cutting them.   - Trees roots help keep the soil more stable. 2) Throw your garbage properly   - Each of us should place our garbage in designated areas.  Don't throw the garbages on rivers, streams or any bodies of water.  3)  Make/Repair/Replace/De-clog our drainage system.   - Some areas have no drainage systems.  Others have but very small or it is clog with garbages, plastics or soils. 4) Rainwater harvesting  - Rainwater harvesting is the accumulating and storing of rainwater for reuse before it reaches the aquifer. Supervolcano found: Is it the entrance to hell?

In Italy lies a hidden "super volcano" that could kill millions.  It lies across the bay of Naples from Pompeii.  The boiling mud and sulphurous steam holes of the area west of Naples known as the Campi Flegrei or Phlegraean Fields, from the Greek word for burning, are a major tourist attraction. But the zone of intense seismic activity, which the ancients thought was the entrance to hell, also could pose a danger of global proportions with millions of people literally living on top of a potential future volcanic eruption. "These areas can give rise to the only eruptions that can have global catastrophic effects comparable to major meteorite impacts," said Giuseppe De Natale, head of a project to drill deep under the earth to monitor the molten "caldera". One such meteorite impact is thought to have caused the extinction of the dinosaurs 65 million years ago when debris thrown into the atmosphere from the huge explosion plunged the earth into darkness. Worst food you can eat

This is an article I have read from Reader's Digest.  I just want to share it. 1) Processed Meat   According to Webmd.com , the American Institute for Cancer Research says meats preserved by smoking, curing, or salting, or that contain chemical preservatives, are linked to an increased risk of colon cancer. These products also tend to have lots of salt, fat, and cholesterol, and very few nutrients, like fiber. 2) Frozen Meals They may look tiny, but frozen dinners can be loaded with calories. Livestrong.com found one popular national brand of chicken pot pie contains 64 grams of fat and 1,020 calories per serving. And while the diet versions of these frozen foods may be low in fat, they are heavily processed and are often high in sodium.     3) Doughnuts Maybe America should run from Dunkin’, and any other outlet selling these nutrition bombs. Store-bought doughnuts contain the unholy trinity of unhealthy ingredients, reports livestrong

Sanchez's top 2 achievement is the highest attained by a contestant with Filipino heritage on the show. Sanchez's mother is Filipina, while her father is Mexican. 'Last girl standing' The 16-year-old Sanchez is the last girl standing on “American Idol” this year. China TV claims Philippines as Chinese territory - Channel NewsAsia

BEIJING: An anchor on China's state-run television network has accidentally declared the Philippines a part of China, in an embarrassing gaffe as tensions between the two nations run high. He Jia, anchor for China Central Television's (CCTV) nationally televised news broadcast, made the claim during a late Monday broadcast that has been repeatedly replayed on the Internet. The presenter apparently meant to say that the Huangyan islands -- known in the Philippines as the Scarborough Shoal, and claimed by both nations -- is China's territory. "We all know that the Philippines is China's inherent territory and the Philippines belongs to Chinese sovereignty, this is an indisputable fact," He said in the broadcast, which has since disappeared from the CCTV website but is available elsewhere on the web. Viewers joked in online postings that the presenter's nationalistic fervour led to her mistake. "This anchor woman is great, a good p
